Tio Fito, tio Eddie, tio Sammy, cousin Ron and cousin Al went out this past weekend to try their hand at turkey hunting. Saturday morning was very exciting with lots of gobblers calling everywherre but none of us were able to call one in. The afternoon was very slow with not much calling and it was very windy. Sunday morning was exciting again with lots of gobblers calling again and though we called them in close we couldn't get the gobblers to walk out into the open. Tio Sammy saw one gobbler but did not take a shot during the hunt. After then hunt on the drive back to the cabin Tio Sammy with his keen vision saw a gobbler walking. We stopped and he tried to take a shot but could not get a shot. There is more to the story but I'll leave the rest of the story for him to tell...... :) Beautiful weather and the ranch looks picturesque in the spring time. We did see several doe and a silver fox also this weekend. Everyone had a great time as always.
